The challenge

Where it started

Every new legal matter needed a slightly different intake form, and each one was a development ticket. The work was mechanical but constant, and the real cost was the wait: legal teams could not adjust their own process without engineering time.

The approach

  1. 01

Built a node-based visual editor so a non-developer composes and reorders form logic directly, with branching represented as a graph rather than as configuration.

  2. 02

Defined the form schema as data, so a published form is a record rather than a code change.

  3. 03

Implemented an end-to-end typed API between client and server, so a change to the form contract surfaces at compile time instead of at runtime.

  4. 04

Automated document generation, turning a completed submission into a formatted PDF without a manual assembly step.

The outcome

Where it landed

Legal teams build and publish their own intake flows, and the document that used to be assembled by hand is produced on submission. Engineering involvement moved from every form to only the platform underneath them.
